Student Learnings: What students should know and be able to do

  • The student will facilitate age appropriate learning activities.
  • The student will develop ongoing line of communication techniques including:
    • mentor to teacher
    • mentor to child
  • The student will learn about teaching strategies to use in the classroom.
  • The student will plan, develop and deliver a project based on students’ needs.
  • The student will know and be able to demonstrate effective planning and time management skills.
  • The student will demonstrate dependability by being on time and notifying elementary students and teachers when not able to attend.
  • The student will understand characteristics of a positive role model.
  • The student will display positive role modeling.
  • The student will relate to others effectively.
  • The student will work effectively in groups or pairs.
  • The student will research and evaluate resources for elementary lessons.
