Career Development Program

Music Recording and Performance

This full year course is designed for the serious student who wants to explore career options related to the music recording and/or performance industry. Through class work, independent projects, and solo or ensemble rehearsal, students will learn the skills, theory, and techniques of music recording, performance, and composition. Students should have some previous training in music—either vocal or instrumental. The curriculum will be tailored to suit each student's individual goals as a musician or performer. Using advanced music studio techniques, students will prepare music for performance and recorded works. Some of the top working musicians and producers in the Midwest will serve as guest instructors.

**Students must enroll in sections A and B in order to participate in section C. Students will have the opportunity to package and burn their own CD's in section C.
