Career Development Program
AutoCAD/ 3-D Studio I
This class is designed for drafting, architechural, and engineering students who will need general CAD experience. This is a hands-on class covering the basic AutoCAD 2006. The class will cover basic commands necessary to create, edit, dimension, manipulate, analyze and plot 2-D drawings. You will learn to confidently create, edit, manipulate, dimension, analyze and plot production drawings.
AutoCAD/3D Studio II
This is a hands-on introduction to 3-D Studio Max R8—a 3-D modeling, rendering and animation program (3D Studio Max is used professionally to produce the graphics for most video games and introductions to sports programs such as Monday Night Football and the World Series). Topics include basic geometry construction, materials, mapping, extended primitives, patch grids, model editing, and compound. Solid modeling commands such as the solid primitives, extrude, revolve, slice, section, union, subtract, intersect and interfere will be covered. Advanced topics of morphing walk-through, lofting, and keyframing will also be covered.
Auto CAD/3D Studio III
This is the third hands-on class using the concepts learned in AutoCAD/3D Studio I and AutoCAD/3D Studio II to produce a meaningful project. The students will define and develop a meaningful visual project under the guidance of the instructor. The project will be developed using one or a combination of the following Autodesk programs: 3D Studio Max, Inventor, or Revit.
