Career Development Program 

Aviation and Ground School

This course is designed for the student who wants to explore career options related to aviation. The content needed to pass the FAA written exam, including the science of flight, systems and instruments, the flight environment, meteorology, basic navigation, radio navigation, aviation physiology, flight planning, decision making and FAA regulations, will be addressed in the private pilot ground school portion of the curriculum. Students will use the different processes, tools, materials and skills of the aviation and aerospace industry to build aircraft in the Aircraft Construction and Manufacturing Technology Lab. In addition, training and certification requirements necessary to be employed in related jobs will be addressed.
