Property Inspector (Bottom Toolbar)

Other than the top menu, another interface you may use often is at the bottom. Every time you select different tools, certain properties show up where you can modify what you are doing. You can do things like edit text or tables from the property inspector. This is a very useful and quick way to do things. Clicking the Arrow in the bottom right corner of the window will expand it with even more options. This bar is a lot like the top bar in Adobe Photoshop.

Right-Click Menu

Along with the properties menu at the bottom, you can get basically the same, quick accessible options by right clicking in the main content window of the page. This is much alike any other Windows program.

Summary

That about wraps it up for day one. For the rest of the time today, explore the program options and get a feel for Dreamweaver.

In day two, we will make your first web page. We will learn about preparing images for Internet use as well as inserting them in to pages. We will also cover how to make text or other objects in to hyperlinks.
