Dear Rosemount Community,
After the best athletic fall in school history, the spring time Irish sports are following suit!
In Boys' Tennis for the second straight year senior, Anshul Bharath, and his 9th grade brother, Aashish, are going to state in doubles. They will play on Thursday, June 8th at 10:00am at the U of M Tennis Complex. Congratulations to them and Coach Hansen.
The track teams continue their winning way with the boys' team finishing second at sections and qualifying 3 individuals for state. They are as follows:
Luke Labatte – 1600, 3200 (10&341;
Trevor Otterdahl – Discus, Shot Put (12)
Jonathan Mann – 110 Hurdle (9)
The Irish Girls' Track Team won the section meet for the second consecutive year and are sending 5 individuals to state. They are as follows:
Ashley Hanfeldt – Discus (12th)
Lexy Berger – Pole Vault, High Jump (10)
Shae Buchman – 100 Hurdle, Long Jump (10&#$41;
Arianna Passeri – Long Jump (10)
Morgan Lawler – 800M (12)
In addition, Coach Sara Hatleli, was named the Section 3AA Girls' Track Coach of the year for the second consecutive year!
The Boys' Lacrosse Team, currently ranked 6th in state started their run in sections Friday night at home with a win over East Ridge. They will play their next round on Tuesday night here at Irish Stadium at 7:00pm.
In baseball the Irish have moved through section play and play this evening at 5:00pm at Dundas Memorial Park. Three teams are left in section play.
Boys' and Girls' Golf had a great section qualifying day on Friday. Today at Bunker Hills three boys and six girls will compete in finals to qualify for state.
