RHS would like to congratulate the following DECA members who placed in the top three overall at the national conference. Each event starts with over 200 students competing and gets narrowed down to 20 for finals. These students competed in events where they had to take a very difficult 100 question marketing competency exam and then come up with a solution to a role play scenario in which they have a limited time to develop their solution and present their ideas.
William Lai – 1st in the nation overall for Business Finance Series Event
Anna Peterson and Lizzie Johnson – 3rd Place in the nation overall for Hospitality Services Team Decision Making Event
Students also receiving recognition at the national conference are:
Paige Zemke - placed outside the top three overall but was National Finalist (Top 20 overall) in Apparel and Accessories Marketing Series Event
Erin Smith and Alli Peterson – Top 10 role play score in Marketing Communications Team Decision Making Event
Tanner Manske – Top 10 Overall test score for Buying and Merchandising Team Decision Making Event
Lizzie Johnson – Top 10 overall test score for Hospitality Services Team Decision Making Event
William Lai - Top 10 overall test score for the Business Finance Series Event
William Lai – Top 10 overall role play score for Business Finance Series Event
Paige Zemke – Top 10 overall role play score for Apparel and Accessories Marketing Series Event.
