The Triple "A" award is given to high school seniors who have excelled in the classroom, in athletics and in the fine arts. Rosemount High School winners, Jessica Ojala and Michael Urban will now compete for Region and State Triple "A" awards. This is the most prestigious award that is given at Rosemount High School.
Nominating Criteria for this award:
o Be a high school senior.
o Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
o Have participated in a league sponsored athletic program and a fine arts program.
o Exhibit citizenship and be a respected individual in the community.
o Exemplify the highest standards of sportsmanship, ethical conduct and moral behavior.
Jessica Ojala is the daughter of Wendy Ojala. She has a G.P.A. of 3.982 while taking numerous AP courses and College in School classes. She is a member of the National Honor Society and the Chinese National Honor Society. Jessica was involved in Choir her freshman and sophomore years and was a member of the Freshman Select Choir. She was a state participant and a district champion in DECA. She was a four-year letter winner in soccer and selected captain for her senior year. She was named All Conference her sophomore, junior and senior year and was also All State as a junior.
Michael Urban is the son of Todd and Louise Urban. He maintains a G.P.A. of 3.69 and takes numerous AP courses and College in School classes. He has been involved in Band all four years of his high school career as well participating in the solo and ensemble contests earning a superior rating. He has also been in speech all four years. Michael is a two-year letter winner in soccer and was a state tournament participant his junior year. He was named All Conference his senior year. In addition, he has been on the golf team the last two years.
