High School Curriculum

District 196 offers students a comprehensive educational program, with high academic standards and expectations. The district-wide high school curriculum ensures students in grades 9-12 will meet the same basic learning goals at each of the district’s four comprehensive high schools.

The district’s four, four-year high schools offer an extensive program to serve all students, no matter what their plans are after graduation. The broad high school curriculum, as shown on the following pages, includes basic and advanced courses in art, business, career development, communications, computer science, industrial technology, mathematics, music, physical education, science, social studies and world languages.
