Rotary
Youth Exchange: The Experience of a Lifetime
Every year approximately 7,000 students ages 15 to 19 go abroad under the
auspices of the Rotary Youth Exchange program, either for the academic year
or an extended period of time. The increased self awareness and global perspective
that they derive from the experience would not be possible without the commitment
of the many volunteer host families and the dedication of those
Rotarians who serve as Youth Exchange officers.

- Whether they plan to continue their education or get the training they'll need to start their career; the Army can help your students achieve their goals. Confidence, self-discipline, determination and team spirit are the qualities that have propelled successful people to the top of their professions. The Army can help them develop these same successful traits and give them the edge they will need to get ahead in today's competitive job market.

- Here are some steps they can take to map out a sure-fire plan for success.
Get Skill Training- and get paid for it. Choose from approximately 150 Military Occupational Specialties, many of which have civilian counterparts such as computer programming, aviation, business, or law enforcement. By enlisting in one of the most modern training programs in the country. They'll have the opportunity to get top-notch experience on the most technologically advanced equipment in the world. They can choose the field that most interests them. If they qualify the training they select will be guaranteed in writing. They could also qualify for an Enlistment Bonus of up to $40,000.
Earn Money for College- Continue their education with the help of 100% Tuition Assistance while in the Reserves or Active Duty. Plus the Montgomery GI Bill and the Army College Fund. If they qualify, in just four years they can accumulate up to $70,000 for college or technical school. They can also qualify for college loan repayment assistance for up to $65,000.
Benefits and Pay- In addition to their wages, grocery, and clothing allowances, the Army provides housing, health care and other family support services. They will also qualify for VA home and small business loans.
Fun and Adventure- some people's idea of fun and adventure is traveling. In addition to all the holidays, they will have 30 days of vacation with pay. They are able to fly anywhere in the world that the Military Airlift Command travels to, for next to nothing. There are recreation facilities and hotels available on or near every installation. Some people's idea of fun and adventure is participating in activities they can't find in the local community. Working with tanks and armored vehicles or completing Airborne or Air Assault training which can provide an entirely different type of thrill. They can give any one of my recruiters a call between 4:00pm and 6:00pm on Monday through Thursday evenings at 952-894-4450. We will be glad to give them more information on how to receive a challenging, rewarding career, get on-the-job training and experience, money for college, and more benefits. We are looking forward to talking to them then.
