SLD SUPPORT CLASS
Mrs. Lokensgard C233
Course Description
This course is designed for students with an IEP (Individual Education Plan).
Students will have the opportunity to complete assignments with individualized
support during this period.
Course Objectives
Students will organize and complete school assignments and projects.
They will earn an elective credit towards graduation.
Student Expectations
Attend class regularly and be on time. You are tardy if you are not in the
room when the bell rings.
Remember 3 tardies = 1 absence (and detention).
Bring homework and related materials to class every day.
Do not bring snacks, drink, or headsets to class. They are not
allowed in the academic wing.
Treat classmates, teachers, and the classroom with respect.
Grades
You will earn a letter grade for this class.
To earn an elective credit, students must earn a grade of 65% or above.
Your final grade will be determined by daily points, attendance, attitude,
and effort.
Students will earn 5 points each day if they …
report to class on time; bring work and materials to class;
work quietly; use time wisely to read or study.
Students will lose points each day if they …
are tardy to class; disturb others by talking;
have nothing to do or refuse to work; eat, drink, or use headsets in class.
Daily Routine and Requirements
Bring mainstream materials and work to class each day.
Read a book, magazine, or newspaper when finished with your homework.
Independent work or transition activities will be given if you have nothing
to do.
Use the EVHS planner, assignment notebook, or assignment sheet to keep track
of assignments and due dates.
Use the assignment sheet to document homework completed in SLD class each
day.
This is a quiet, study time. Respect this time set apart for homework completion.
Respect the blinds, white board, and cabinet.
Do not pull on blinds, doodle on white board, or take items from cabinet.
You can succeed! I will support your work at Eastview High School.
