In Quarter 4 we learned how to create a web page using Macromedia Dreamweaver. Dreamweaver is a program that allows someone to create a web page using tables, layers and much more. It is a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) program, allowing its users to see the HTML code as you create you page. It is also a pretty easy program to learn the basics with.

Before we started learning Dreamweaver though, we created our final project. For the project you could do anything you wanted that showed you had learned something for the year. The only requirements were that you had to appear in it and that you had to be able to give it to someone else. I did my project on my friends, and decided to give it to two of my friends, Holly and Lizzy.

In Quarter 4 we created two projects:

What was different about this quarter compared to the previous ones is that we learned Dreamweaver completely online. We read tutorials online, and were not allowed to talk to anyone unless it was online using the message board.

Although at first I didn’t like the idea, and still would rather have taken the class normal, it was cool to find out that I could do it online. Taking the class completely online was not as bad as I thought it would be.

I feel that I learned just as much, if not more, by doing it this way because everyone got to read everyone else’s questions, which helped you learn more than you would have if you hadn’t asked that question. The only thing I really didn’t like about taking the class online was that the classroom was so quite. I wish we could have talked some.
