Page Design

The web pages you design should be clear and easy to understand.  They also should have consistency with graphics and layout.  Some areas to consider when designing your pages include:

  • Page Dimensions - how your information appears on a monitor will be different from a printed copy.  Will the information be printed?  If so, understand the resolution of different monitors and how text will print.  Also understand how different monitor resolutions can affect how your page looks.

  • Page Length - keep away from scrolling information

  • Use tables or frames to organize your information and make your site graphically appealing.

  • Use subtle color and think about the overall layout of your site when designing each page.
