Chris Franken, Ed.S.

College Planning & Assessment Director

2010-11 marks my tenth year in Student Services for Eastview High School . My main responsibilities include oversight of college planning programs and initiatives for the Eastview learning community. Our mission is to provide all students with the support they need to achieve academic, college, and/or career goals.

Additional responsibilities include administration of assessment programs. These assessments include the MCA II/GRAD tests in Reading, Writing, Science and Mathematics, as well as the ACT PLAN, PSAT, and Advanced Placement exams.

As far as student counseling caseload, I work with identified gifted & talented students. My goal is to provide targeted academic, college, and career guidance to help these students reach their full potential.

My background includes twenty-seven years as an educator in District 196, including teaching in the Health Sciences and the Career Development Program. I hold a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and a Specialist degree in Educational Administration from Minnesota State University - Mankato.

Please feel free to call or come down to the Guidance office any time to schedule an appointment! I am available most days between 7 am and 3 pm. Other times may also be arranged. I look forward to meeting and working with both students and parents!
