EVHS is an exciting place to teach and I am extremely proud to be a staff member here. This will be my fourteenth year here. I will be teaching four sections of sophomore English/speech that are teamed up with Mr. Kelley's U.S. History classes. English/ Speech 10 focuses on improving reading, writing and speaking skills. Additionally, I will be teaching public speaking. This course gives students many opportunities to refine their communication skills in the areas of public speaking, audience analysis and adaptation, and listening. I also am teaching one semester of College in the Schools public speaking. This course offers students many opportunities to grow their public speaking skills in the areas of informative, persuasive and special occasion speaking.
Besides teaching, I am thrilled to once again work with the Eastview High School speech team. It is a marvelous group of talented individuals.
For fun in my free time I love to spend time with my family. I have a daughter who is a fourth grader and a son who is a kindergartener.
I look forward to working with the students and to a fantastic 2010-2011 school year!
