Students enrolled in the Multi-Media
Class at Eastview High School have produced interior
panels for display in select Minnesota Valley Transit
Authority (MVTA) buses. The panels focus on themes
involving school activities, community service
and transit.
The students ’artwork was reviewed by the
MVTA and winning entries were selected in the three
categories:
School Activities -senior Derek DeGrote ; Community
Service -junior Mana Moini ; Transit -sophomore Lucas
Melchior. These students all received a certificate
of award and a $25 gift certificate to an area restaurant
for their efforts.
Students receiving
honorable mention were: John Ulrich, Sal D’Agostino
and Holly Steiner, all seniors at Eastview.
As part of their class, students had to complete
a final project using PhotoShop software. Production
of the interior bus panels was offered as one option
and Tyler Krebs, Video and Multimedia Specialist
at Eastview, said some students chose this option
for their final project. As in previous years,
the MVTA had the panels printed and dry mounted
by Cornerstone Copy Center, for display on the
interior of MVTA buses. Students were also given
a copy of their final product. The students used
a variety of graphics and images in producing the
panels.
