Here are a few pieces of work I've done independently. Some are edited images, while some others are originals that my friends and I have put together. Most of what I've done here is through self taught drawing ability and messing with different tools over some long periods of time and cooperation with other friends that have better understanding of different tools and features.

To the left is an image that was inspired by a music project that was intended to promote a series of voice synthesizers. The song was titled Heat haze days. I took a rough sketch out of my sketchbook that I scanned into Photoshop and used the brush and pen tools to create the outlines that I filled with the gradient tools. The colors were placed by filling in an entire layer and placing them under the outline that was then cut out of a solid background. Similar to placing a stencil over colored paper.
The left was an attempt at a request to give a humanoid form to the character Ameterasu, from a game called Okami. The character herself was a possessed wolf statue. The original goal was to maintain the main concept of the character, which was casting spells with an ink brush. I tried to make my colors look like faded ink on an old poster. I also made her hair look like the brush used in game. To make the background, I played with the noise settings to make a pixilated mess of gradients that were overlapped by changing the blending options.

To the right is fanart of 2 characters from the Touhou series. An indepentently made game from Team Shangai Alice. The process involved a sketch on paper that I scanned and colord on Photoshop and Illustrator. The colorful parts were done by a friend and we used photoshop to overlap and blend our projects together.
