I teach biology biology. This is my 16th year of teaching, my 11th at Eastview High School. I am also the advisor for LEAP, Lightning Environmental Awareness Program.  At Eastview I have begun creating a school nature area.  The city of Apple Valley and a DNR grant have created an opportunity for biology students and LEAP members to restore part of the pond area behind the stadium.  After years of drought it is begining to maintain some wetland species including 2 species of rush and a solid area of Swamp Milkweed, home to many monarchs. Biology classes like field work!
