6th Annual MLK weekend
EVHS Ski & Snowboard Trip

DATES:      Thursday, January 12 – Sunday, January 15, 2012

We are flying out on Thursday, 1/12 @ 11:45am  and returning on Sunday 1/15 @ 5:30pm.  Steamboat is best known for the amazing snow that they receive in both quality (light and fluffy) and quantity (they received over 433 inches last season).  The town itself is a throwback to the Old West ski town where you will be just as likely to see a person on horseback as you would see a person driving a Range Rover.   The group will be staying in the town of Steamboat Springs at the Rabbit Ears Hotel , which is a short shuttle ride from the resort/ ski hill: Our plan is to ski/board full days on Friday/ Saturday & till 12 pm on Sunday before packing up and flying back Sunday afternoon 1/15. Students will miss school ½ day on Thursday 1/12 and a full day on Friday, February 13 (school authorized absence).  There will be 3 to 5 adults chaperoning the trip.

COST:         $875 per student, which covers:
3 nights lodging at the Rabbit Ears Hotel (Quad occupancy)
3 Day lift ticket at the Steamboat Resort
Roundtrip airline flight (direct) to Steamboat on Delta Airlines / Bus transportation to/ from Hotel
Continental Breakfast each day at Hotel / 3 Group Dinners (Thursday, Friday, Saturday evening)

This is the exact same price as last year!  We were able to work within last year’s budget and include breakfast/ dinner all 3 days (instead of just 2) and still stay within a village/ ski town.  Students are responsible for their own lunches each day in addition to any snacks/ souvenirs.
We have made every effort to keep the cost of the trip down- going so far as to eliminate a travel agent and negotiate all costs ourselves.

  • Every year the trip has filled up and we have had to turn away students – get your deposit and registration in as soon as possible to lock up your spot.  This is a trip that is not to be missed!

Trip is limited to the first 24 students!

  • $450 non- refundable deposit due ASAP or by November 23
  • Remaining $425 is due by December 9
  • You can pay in full or send 2nd deposit post dated if you desire.
  •  Trip is filled on a first come- first served basis.
