It is a good sounding gorgeous instrument that I recommend highly. Check out their website: www.yamaha.com Another good place where you can view many different types of horns is the Woodwind & Brasswind Store: www.wwandbw.com
I also highly regard the Jamey Abersold collection as some of the best improve CDs. If you're not familiar with them, Jamey Abersold puts out a collection of music with the head of the tune written and the solo with cord changes. The book comes with a CD with the rythym section playing so you can improve over the backgrounds. I get all my music at Groth Music, a very fine store, but you can also order them.
As far as what I listen to, I prefer Big Band Jazz which is sometimes hard to find. However, I also really like Maynard Fergeuson. I listen to Charlie Parker for solo ideas.
