~America in the 1920's was an era of uninhibited fun often characterized as a period of American prosperity and optimism-"The Roaring Twenties" with dance crazes like the Charleston to daredevils climbing flagpoles, scaling skyscrapers and dancing on airplane wings. And no place seemed more fun than a college campus. Good News! is one of the campiest of campus comedies . . . one of the best of the lighthearted rah-rah college musicals! It is a tribute to the spirit of youth, which is the spirit of fun, gentleness, simplicity and optimism.
