Requirements for Membership in NHS:

Scholarship
Members of NHS are required to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.7 or above. If your GPA drops below this mark, you have one trimester to raise it. If the GPA remains below 3.7 for 2 trimesters, your membership to NHS will be terminated.

Leadership
As an NHS member you are a leader in our school and outside of our school. It is expected that members maintain their high GPA, good attendance, and exemplify honorable behavior inside and outside of school.

Meetings
Attendance is taken at each general member meeting. The meetings will be held on the FIRST WEDNESDAY of the first month in each trimester at7:00am in room 228. You may not miss more than two meetings during a particular trimester, or your membership will be put on probation. Members are also required to be a part of a committee that meets monthly where they will organize events and fundraising. Attendance is required, but each committee determines their own meeting time.

Character
All members are expected to maintain good character. Members of NHS exhibit traits such as helpfulness, cheerfulness, and willingness to help others. If you exhibit behavior that is unacceptable to NHS, you may be terminated.

Service
All members are expected to participate in AT LEAST one NHS sponsored service project per trimester, and must participate in at least 12 hours of service at RHS or in the community per trimester to maintain active membership in NHS.
