Irish Athletics and Fine Arts

Kim Budde and Mike Manning want to congratulate our fall athletic teams and the continued success of our outstanding Marching Band Program!

Rosemount High School Marching Band had a very successful weekend at the US Bank Stadium Youth In Music Competition. They were named the MN State AAAA Champion, Class AAAA Champion and Youth In Music Grand Champion. Congratulations to students, staff, and parents for this great accomplishment.

Our Boys' Cross Country Program under the direction of Head Coach, Chris Harder, won the South Suburban Conference title yet again on Friday afternoon. The Girls' CC Team took home third place honors.

On Friday night the Irish Football Team dismantled Burnsville 37–0. Going 5–0 in conference play. With a win on Wednesday night at home vs Shakopee the Irish Football Team coached by Jeff Erdmann in his 20th season with the Irish, will win yet another SSC Conference Championship. Tickets will be on sale in the main office on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Competition Cheer Team, coached by Sally Holman, won the Large Non–tumble division at Eastridge this past Saturday! This will qualify them for a trip to nationals in February.

Irish Girls' Swim and Dive Team Coached by Jake Kemna has two meets left in the regular season and with two wins they will earn their sixth consecutive SSC Conference Championship!

Irish Volleyball continues to have a great season competing against five conference schools that are all in the top 10 ranked teams in the state. They will begin section competition next Tuesday.

Today continuing individual tennis sections, Anna Leary and Sonja Ramesh will compete in the semi-final round of doubles play at Lifetime Fitness in Lakeville at 2:00pm. They are coached by first year Irish Tennis Coach, Matt Knutson.

On Tuesday evening the Irish Boys' and Girls' Soccer Teams coached by Todd Farrington and Gretchen Stramel, respectively will attempt something that has never happened in the fall. Their programs will compete for the Section 3AA Soccer Championships on the same night at the same site. The girls will play at 5:00pm vs. Eagan and the boys will play at 7:30pm vs Apple Valley. We hope that both teams make it to state!
