Athletic Registrations Open for All Sports in All Seasons on July 20

July 20, 2017

As previously shared by District 196 Technology Office District 196 will be moving to a new student information system for the 2017–18 school year in all District 196 buildings . Edupoint's Synergy will replace TSIS at all District 196 Schools. The student information system manages all student data such as class registration, attendance, parent/family contact information and much more.

Among Synergy's many features is ParentVUE, a parent portal/mobile application that provides near real-time access to student information. Via ParentVUE, parents can access information on attendance, behavior, transcripts, health, emergency contact info and more. ParentVUE is also how families will be able to access Fee Pay to register for Athletic Activities, sign–up for field trips, put money in lunch accounts or sign–up for a community education camp or class. Once in Fee Pay that system will remain exactly the same as previous years for Athletic Registration.

Later this summer (likely mid–August), the district will be providing parents with instructions on how to activate their ParentVUE account and access all features and functions. Parents will also receive information on how to receive technical support should they encounter any issues during the activation process.

FOR ALL ATHLETIC REGISTRATIONS through the start of Fall Sports on August 14th parents are asked to register just as they have in previous years by accessing Fee Pay through their SchoolView account. After the start of Fall Sports and once ParentVUE is fully up and running SchoolView will no longer be available and ParentVue will become the access point to Fee Pay. If you are a brand new family to District196 and have never used SchoolView please contact the Main Office 651–423–7506 and someone will be able to assist you to get registered for fall sports.

Athletic Registration is open for ALL SPORTS in ALL SEASONS (YES you can register for all sports at the same time!) starting Thursday, July 20th by entering Fee Pay through your SchoolView account. Click here for access to SchoolView: https://www.tiescloud.net/schoolview/sv_login_secure.asp. All athletic registrations this fall will be completed using SchoolView to access Fee Pay. There are no transaction fees assessed to the user when using FeePay for online payment.

If your physical is more than three years old, you will not be allowed to register or participate. Physical expiration dates are posted on School View on the bottom of the student’s Health page. Physical Clearance to Participate forms are available by clicking here: http://www.mshsl.org/mshsl/publications/code/forms/PhysicalExam.pdf?ne=5. Please be sure this form is filled out by your medical provider as other medical charts etc. are NOT valid for sports participation physicals. Completed Physical forms can be turned in to the Rosemount Athletic Office in person, faxed to 651–423–7511 or scanned and emailed to Mary.Hautman@district196.org.

If you need a new physical, here are several local options: #1 Go to your family physician, #2 Get a FREE sports physical on certain dates and times at Twin Cities Orthopedics https://www.tcomn.com/sportsphysicals #3 Visit a local CVS Medical Clinic (usually around $50)
