Dear RHS Community,
Rosemount High School Students, Jenna Eichten and Jacob Smith, have been
selected to represent Region 3AA in the Academics, Arts, and Athletics Award program.
Established in 1988, the Academics, Arts, and Athletics Award (Triple "A" Award) is
sponsored by the Minnesota State High School League. The award goes to high school seniors
who have a "B" or better grade point average and who participate in League-sponsored athletic
and fine arts activities.
Both Eichten and Smith are active members in AP and College Courses, Choir and Athletics.
They are students with a 4.0 GPA and are ranked in the top of their class. Smith participates in
the All District Boys Honor Choir and has received awards for the “Most Improved Tenor as
well as the "Most Valuable Tenor". Eichten has participated in Choir for the past 4 years as well
as taking part in Onstage. Both are three sport athletes. Eichten participates in Basketball,
Track and was Captain of her Soccer team for the past two years. Smith participates in Soccer,
Baseball and is Captain of his hockey team this year.
Triple "A" Award recipients are selected by a multi–level process involving the League's
member schools and administrative regions. League officials will announce the four award
recipients (a girl and a boy from both a Class "A" and a Class "AA" school) at an on–court
recognition ceremony in March.
Congratulation to Jenna and Jacob!
