Dear RHS Community,
Congratulations to our Irish Girls’ Soccer Team for their 2-1 overtime victory last night vs Minnetonka High School. With this state tournament quarter final victory, on Tuesday, November 1st at 2:00pm the Irish Varsity Girls’ Soccer Team will be the first Class AA School to play a State Semi-Final Soccer game at the U.S. Bank Stadium! The game will be against Minneapolis Washburn and they are ranked #3 in the state tourney. The Irish are ranked #2. It promises to be a great game!
At lunch today, permission slips were given out to all high school students that want to attend the game on Tuesday. This permission slip will need to be signed by parents before a ticket can be purchased at lunch on Friday or Monday. By doing these two steps the absence on Tuesday afternoon starting at 12:30pm will be school authorized as an excused absence. NO STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO BUY A FAN BUS TICKET ON TUESDAY.
All students with a ticket or any students riding the fan bus will be excused at 12:30pm on Tuesday, November 1st.
We will start selling advance tickets to the State Soccer Semi-final Game starting Friday, October 28th from 7:00am until 3:00pm in the RHS main office. These will be sold again on Monday, October 31st from 7:00am to 3:00pm and on Tuesday (Game Day) from 7:00am to 11:00am. Adult tickets are $12.00 and student tickets are $8.00.
Helpful things to know from the MSHSL are backpacks cannot be brought into the U.S. Bank Stadium, small purses will be scanned, and items cannot be left on the fan busses during the game. Please plan ahead!
The MSHSL also encourages you to leave for the game much earlier than you normally would to find parking and leave yourself time to enter the stadium so that you will not late.
