The Triple "A" award is given to high school seniors who have excelled in the classroom, in athletics and in the fine arts. Rosemount High School winners, Ellie Vraa and Jack Kessler will now compete for Region and State Triple "A" awards. This is the most prestigious award that is given at Rosemount High School.
Nominating Criteria for this award:
o Be a high school senior.
o Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
o Have participated in a league sponsored athletic program and a fine arts program.
o Exhibit citizenship and be a respected individual in the community.
o Exemplify the highest standards of sportsmanship, ethical conduct and moral behavior.
Ellie Vraa is the daughter of Douglas and Mona Vraa. She has a G.P.A. of 4.0 and is ranked #1 in her class while taking numerous AP courses and College in School classes. She is a member of the National Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society. Ellie has been in choir for four years. She is a three-year letter winner in volleyball and served as team captain this year. She is a four-year letter winner in basketball and is the team captain. She has also received All Conference Honorable Mention. She is a three-year letter winner in track and field and has been named All Conference.
Jack Kessler is the son of John and Laura Kessler. He maintains a G.P.A. of 3.991 and takes numerous AP courses and College in School classes. He is also a National Merit Commended student and is ranked #6 in his class. He is a member of the National Honor Society and Student Ambassadors. He has been involved in choir for four years. Jack is a three-year letter winner in football and state tournament participant his junior and senior seasons. He was selected team captain. He was awarded All Conference Honorable Mention and All State Academic in football. He is a four-year letter winner in basketball and also served as team captain. He was also named All Conference Honorable Mention.
