These Project Pathfinders have been developed based on classroom projects and regular assignments. They have been developed to assist you in the research process of each of these assignments. These pathfinders provide you with a guide to follow in locating resources to meet the requirements for each of these assignments. The research component for each of these assignments require you to locate a variety of resources. For example:

    Books and/or Videos/DVD's
    Magazine articles,
    Journal or Trade Publication articles,
    Newspaper articles,
    Government Documents or
    Reliable web sites that have been reviewed and evaluated.

Each of these Pathfinders may include the following components:

  • Description of the Assignment
  • Background information on the topic
  • Recommended Keywords or Subject Headings to use in locating materials on the topic.
  • How to locate Books/Videos on the topic
  • A list of key reference materials that would provide valuable background ifnormation on the topic.
  • Recommended Research Databases to use relevant to the topic and the assignment.
  • A list of pre-reviewed Web sites that have been determined to provide reliable and valuable information generic to the specific assignment.
