They can choose the field that most interests them. If they qualify the training they select will be guaranteed in writing. They could also qualify for an Enlistment Bonus of up to $40,000. Earn Money for College- Continue their education with the help of 100% Tuition Assistance while in the Reserves or Active Duty. Plus the Montgomery GI Bill and the Army College Fund. If they qualify, in just four years they can accumulate up to $70,000 for college or technical school. They can also qualify for college loan repayment assistance for up to $65,000. Benefits and Pay- In addition to their wages, grocery, and clothing allowances, the Army provides housing, health care and other family support services. They will also qualify for VA home and small business loans. Fun and Adventure- some people's idea of fun and adventure is traveling. In addition to all the holidays, they will have 30 days of vacation with pay. They are able to fly anywhere in the world that the Military Airlift Command travels to, for next to nothing. There are recreation facilities and hotels available on or near every installation. Some people's idea of fun and adventure is participating in activities they can't find in the local community. Working with tanks and armored vehicles or completing Airborne or Air Assault training which can provide an entirely different type of thrill.
