Rules and Expectations

There’s no thrill in easy sailing when the skies are clear and blue, there’s no joy in merely doing things which any one can do. But, there is some satisfaction that is mighty sweet to take, when you reach a destination that you thought you’d never make.

• If you are absent you must show an admit. Absences will be posted on the whiteboard in front of the room. A selected student will take attendance and record tardies. You can find out your status on a daily basis concerning attendance and tardies.
• 8 absences = no credit or failure
• 3 tardies equals one absence. Detention slips will be filled out immediately in class. A tardy is nnot being in the room once the teacher closes the door. Since I have hallway supervision this should give you sufficient time to reach class.

• No liquids in the room (This include water)
• No food
• No Walkmans, CD players, cellular phones, toys, calculators, etc.
• The telephone is available between passing or last 5 minutes with teacher permission
• Please keep the room immaculate
• Used gum goes in the garbage
• Please listen to the announcements
• You must remain in your seats until the bell rings or you don't leave
• Three bathroom passes per quarter per class
• You Must have your three ringed binder everyday
• Attire (clothes,hats,jewelry,etc.) that distracts from the educational goals of the class will not be accepted.

• Use appropriate language at all times
• No negative talk about other students or faculty members
• Talk at a low volume ... don't invade other people's spaces. One arm length policy!
• Please treat substitutes with respect.
