Treasurer's Report

Balance in account is $30,500 ($12,000 related to Florida trip)

Activity

-Close of salt sale

   $7,400 Fall salt sale

-Paying for Florida trip

-Paid for two signs

Dugout Membership

-Keep at $25

-Will be collected at mandatory parent meeting on March 2nd

Booster Club activities

-Ordered windscreens

  One will run from the left field to right field and the other will be on the bullpen

   Will have Eastview baseball signs

Salt sale

-Order forms will be out before Spring Break

Coach Strey

Changes to batting cages on the Varsity field

-Putting turf down

-Replacing bad nets

-Replacing L-screens

Starting to finalize schedules (preliminary schedules available at meeting)

-New 10B team (will include juniors)

  Teams with 10B teams are EP, Eagan, Burnsville and Chaska

Schedules will be available March 2nd

Spring Break

-Final payment due

-'Tentative schedule available

-Players are looking at activities to do while in Florida

-Will have 5-6 scrimmages

After school workouts are well attended (40 - 45 players)

Tryouts (Tentative)

-9th grade  March 9th -March 11th in the evening

  Players who have a school event will be evaluated on two of the three nights

10th -12th grade March 16th - March 18th

  Teams announced on March 18th

Practices at school for those players not going on a spring break.

Baseball Coaches

Same as last year with the addition of John Krugel at JV and the hiring of a 10B coach

Logo Wear

-All players must order a cap (Coach Strey has some for purchase.)

-Players who would like an extra pair of pants can order their own pair

-Ninth graders should not order pants

-Ship orders to the school to save on shipping

Committee sign up sheets were available for parents to volunteer

Outfield signs

-Continue looking for new companies who would like to advertise (three year commitment at $3,000)
