Dance Association
Presented by: LDT Booster Club
The
Eastview Dance Association, EVDA, is a preparatory program for dancers
in grades 5-9. EVDA strives to train young female athletes with
the skills and tools necessary for involvement in Minnesota Dance
Team, specifically at Eastview High School.
These six-week class sessions will introduce dancers interested
in the Lightning Dance Team to the techniques, skills, and work
ethic of the program. Along with technique training, the classes
will learn a dance team style routine to perform in the Eastview
Fall Dance Shows on November 3 and 4 in the Performing Arts Centre.
Who can join?

Any female student in grades 5,6,7,8,9 can join the EVDA. The
student must be within the boundaries to enroll at Eastview High
School in grade 9.
When and Where?
All classes will take place in the EVHS Dance Studio and commons
area.
Fall
Session runs from September 13- October 26
Who will teach the classes?
- Members
and leaders of the Lightning Dance Team will be the instructors
for these classes, along with both the JV and Varsity coaching staff.
How much does it cost?
- $85
per dancer. Cost includes an EVDA t-shirt to wear at performances.
What level should you take?
- Our beginner class is for dancers who have little to no dance experience, but would like to learn about the techniques and traditions of being on a high school dance team.
- Our intermediate class is for dancers who have around 5 years of dance training prior to this program.
- Our advanced class is for experienced dancers who are ready to elarn exactly what it takes to be a member of the Lightning Dance Team!
