Web Design

Assignment:

Your final assignment for 4th quarter will be to create a web page. The web page will serve as an electronic portfolio and must include the following elements:

At least one Photo Shop assignment (all four projects is preferred) with a description of the steps you took to make it.

A link to your public service announcement and video poetry project as a streaming video file.
Your 3D project as a streaming video file.
A flash animation that you will add after 4th quarter midterms.

You may also include your interests, hobbies and information about yourself.

You may not link to any sites outside of the district web page including e-mail without my permission.

Task:

You will need to learn how to use Microsoft Front Page Editor. I have a video with software to help you and a Front Page reference book. You may use a template within Front Page or create your own page. You may use your own backgrounds and layouts as long as they are appropriate for class.

When your page is complete, we will link it to the student page in the Multimedia Class web page.
Assessment:
Your web page is worth 100 points and will be graded on its appearance, information and content. You will be graded at the midterm point and will also do a self assessment and peer assessment.
Other fun things to play with.
1. Images: You may copy and paste from the internet or insert from a saved picture in your file.
2. Insert tables: Great way to organize your information on your web page.
3. Play with text sizes and colors.
4. Powerpoint and Authorware presentations can easily be changed to web presentations
5. Use Photoshop to create images for your page - See Dreamweaver Day 4 for advanced tutorial.
6. Experiment with your own web letterhead with images and text sizes and fonts
