The Flash


The Flash is Eastview High School's (Apple Valley, MN) student produced news magazine show that airs live every Thursday at 11:05 a.m.

EVTV students are once again producing a video yearbook for the 2010-2011 school year. This DVD will be packaged with any yearbook order.

The video yearbook is 45 minutes in length and covers activities from the 1st day pepfest to graduation. Students in The Flash, The 4Cast, and broadcast journalism classes work together to shoot and edit this video during the entire school year.



The Flash is a part of Eastview Television (EVTV). Other student work in EVTV includes:

Student Accomplishments Include:

  • Seventeen Regional Emmy Awards; Twenty-Two Honorable Mention Emmy Awards
  • Several Student Televison Network/Channel One National Awards including a STN National Champion in the Writing Category
  • Videomaker Award, Aegis Award, Telly Award, Communicator Award
  • 2008 MHSPA (Minnesota High School Press Association) Broadcast Journalism Contest With Minnesota Wild Winner (also 2007, 2005, 2004 and 2003)
  • MHSPA Gold Medallion Best Feature Story & Best News Story in State of Minnesota
  • Over 100 Students named as Distinguished Journalists, All State Journalists, or All Minnesota Editors by MHSPA
  • Excellence in Media Production award from the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT); Won Focus Enhancements' "Thoughts and Dreams" contest

About Eastview HS

Eastview High School, located in Apple Valley, MN, includes a 330,000 square foot facility and 200 acres of recreational facilities. It is home to over 2,000 students in grades 9-12.
