Text Box:

In a continued effort to promote respect, collaboration, a commitment to learning, positive leadership and continuous improvement to enhance learning, all EVHS students engaged in dialogue in an extended first period class regarding the EVHS learning culture and specifically, respect within our school community .

  • We encourage you to continue the dialogue at home and ask your student what the discussion was like in his/her first hour class Wednesday 9/30.
  • Our goal is to hear from our students and give them an opportunity to express their thoughts, experiences, and perspectives.
  • A leadership team of teachers and administrators are working on ways to keep this dialogue active, and engage other members of our learning community throughout the year as well.
  • Look for future opportunities to provide your input as a parent, as a community member, and as a valued stakeholder.

Research consistently demonstrates a significant correlation between a positive school culture and student achievement (Waters, Marzano, & McNulty, 2003).  These are just a few of our enduring values, as we have shared with our community over and over again via the “puzzle pieces”.  Student engagement is highly valued as we work to bring these puzzle pieces to life.
